Hanna Ojala
is a critically acclaimed theatre director and playwright whose work centres on writing herstory for the stage through audiovisually and physically ambitious performances. With a background in physical theatre, which she studied in Poland and the UK in the early 2000s, her practice explores how precision in performance form can mirror thematic substance and give presence to what resists explanation.
Ojala often works with stories about women at historical turning points, where the personal becomes political.
